GPS 1-3-5
A 1-3-5 GPS is a strategic one-page goal-setting and business planning method that stands for 1 Goal, 3 Priorities, and 5 Strategies.
Popularized heavily by Keller Williams Realty as a foundational tool, this framework turns an overwhelming yearly objective into an actionable blueprint.
How the 1-3-5 Structure Works
1 Goal: Your single overarching, measurable "North Star" objective for the year (e.g., earn $250,000 in volume or close 40 home sales).
3 Priorities: The three main focus categories or pillars required to support and reach that main goal (e.g., generate more listings, improve database engagement, convert buyer leads). [1]
5 Strategies: Five specific, tactical actions or initiatives for each of the three priorities, resulting in 15 total building blocks that dictate how you will execute your plan.
Why People Use It
Prevents Overwhelm: “The power of GPS lies in narrowing your focus.” Instead of tracking dozens of floating ideas, you focus strictly on 15 core tasks.
Daily Clarity: It condenses an entire annual plan onto a single, visible page so you can align your daily routine with your biggest targets.
Easily Scalable: It can be used for corporate teams, individual business growth, or even personal life improvements like work-life balance

How They Connect Structurally
To make the system work, you literally copy data from your GPS directly onto your 4-1-1 form. You work backward from the big picture to the present week:
Annual Alignment: Your 1 Big Goal and the 3 Priorities from your GPS become the "Annual Goals" section at the top of your 4-1-1.
Monthly Breakdown: At the start of a month, you look at your 15 GPS strategies. You ask yourself: "What must I do this month to stay on track for my annual priorities?" You write those milestones in the "Monthly Goals" section.
Weekly Execution: Every Sunday or Monday, you look at your monthly goals and break them into hyper-specific tasks for the upcoming week. These go into the "Weekly Goals" sections (Weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4).
